2024 Art in the Courthouse

The Art Guild has been invited back to kick off the Art in the Courthouse exhibit year for the third time.

January 8 through March 8, 2024

  • Topic: Artistic Views 50 Years of Style
    This exhibit is a continuation of the 2023 Summer Art Project. Typically, only artwork currently hanging in Orange Park Town Hall may enter, but there is a possibility that we may have room for more entries if the artwork falls under the Summer Project theme.
  • Details:
    • Location: 825 North Orange Avenue in Green Cove Springs
    • Sizes 16×20 (with reasonable size frame and/or matting)
    • Follow Exhibit Guidelines
    • By January 3, 2024 – Confirm you plan to enter your 2023 Summer Art Project by sending an email message to [email protected] Subject line: Art in the Courthouse. Include name, title, medium and price. No entry fee.
    • Take in: January 8, 2024 — 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Clay County Courthouse, 825 North Orange Avenue, 4th floor, in Green Cove Springs. Artists will need to go through metal screening before entering the elevators. Please honor this time slot, delays cause the volunteers to spend long hours trying to get the exhibit set up. If you cannot be there between 10-11 am, please send your artwork with a fellow guild member.
    • Take down: March 8, 2024 — 10:00 am to 11:00 am on 4th floor of the courthouse Artists will need to go through metal screening before entering the elevators. Once again, please honor the time of the volunteer and if you cannot be there between 10-11 am, please make arrangements with a fellow guild member to pick up your artwork. Any artwork not picked up by 11 am will need to make arrangement to pick up your artwork and pay $5 donation to the scholarship fund, no exceptions.
  • NOTE: Prices cannot be displayed on the wall card in the Courthouse. If someone is interested in purchasing the artwork, AGOP will coordinate the sale and AGOP will retain 15% of the sale for the scholarship fund.
